Michael Lewis is an experienced and trusted executive with a proven track record of successfully assisting Boards, Presidents and Chief Executives achieve goals and improve performance within their organizations.  He delivers a combination of analysis, insight and wisdom to help organizations maximize growth opportunities, optimize team performance, and create a work environment that balances character, commitment, and competence

Before establishing Arbor Consulting NP, Michael held leadership positions in the nonprofit sector with responsibilities in operations, philanthropy and strategy, and in the private sector delivering financial analysis and planning.  He also worked for a regional boutique philanthropic consultancy to nonprofits.  

Michael earned the Certificate of Nonprofit Board Consulting, with a specialty in Board Governance from BoardSource. He graduated with an Executive MBA from The Quantic School of Business and a B.A. (Phi Beta Kappa) in Business Administration from Morehouse College.  He is also a trained Spiritual Director under the Leadership Transformation Selah program.  Michael is a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum Houston Chapter.  In addition, he has served on nonprofit and government boards in the Houston area.  

Originally from San Antonio, Michael is husband to his high school sweetheart Cynthia and father to their three sons Miles, Marcus and Mateo.
